International Go-to-Market Strategy for a Home & Interiors Brand

A bright living room with white plantation shutters, a fireplace and blue armchairs

The challenge

A UK home and interiors business was exploring expansion into the competitive US market. The priority was to develop a commercially viable market entry strategy that could establish the brand, attract customers and create a scalable foundation for growth.

My approach

I developed a phased US go-to-market strategy covering market and competitor research, customer segmentation, regional prioritisation and brand positioning. The plan brought together ecommerce, SEO and AI search visibility, digital advertising, CRM, PR, influencer marketing and strategic partnerships.

A key focus was creating an excellent customer experience, from website localisation and product discovery through to ordering, fulfilment and after-sales support.

What I delivered

A commercially focused market entry roadmap with recommended launch markets (US states), marketing channels, investment priorities, KPIs and a framework for testing and scaling successfully.
