Who we are
This website is run by VB Marketing Consulting ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at val@vbmarketingconsulting.com.
What personal data we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, company, role and the details you include in your message.
- Call bookings: your name, email address, the time you choose and your answers to any booking questions.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your first name, email address and a record of your consent.
- Website usage: if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. See our cookie policy.
- Client work: contact details and business information you share with us while we work together.
How we use your data and our lawful basis

Who we share your data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- HubSpot - CRM, website forms, email newsletter and call booking
- Microsoft - Microsoft 365 (email and calendar)
- Google - Google Analytics
- Netlify - website hosting
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data where required by law.
International transfers
Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries and call bookings that don't lead to work: 2 years from last contact
- Client records: 6 years after the end of the engagement, for tax and accounting
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: up to 14 months
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate data
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data
- ask for your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
